My favorite food is a classic pastrami sandwhich. Wexlers, Canters, etc...I'll eat them all. Even CoFax has a fantastic twist in the form of a breakfast buritto. My mouth is watering just thinking about the topic, and if yours is as well, I want to hear from you. I expect this to be a highly debated topic that will benefit us all in the form of fat stomachs.

In your opinion, who has the best pastrami sandwich in LA?

As I said in the other thread: Langer's and Oinkster. Both rival the best places I've been anywhere like Katz in NYC and Schwartz's in Montreal. Langer's is a great classic Jewish deli. Oinkster also has some of the best fries in the city to go on the side

Tried Wexler's recently. Solid sandwich.

I'd also recommend The Hat. Get the chili cheese fries as well.

Langer's Deli and, yes, The Hat in Pasadena, Alhambra and Glendora. Honorable mention for Top's Jr. in Alhambra.

Langers #19 is possibly the best sandwich in the country.

As far as the pastrami dip sandwiches go, The Hat is the best.

If you are getting the CC Fries at The Hat, how can you possibly eat anything else? They are "HUGE!!!!"

I've tried Oinkster's pastrami sandwich on two different occasions and have to say it is what the restaurant's name implies - pig slop. Worst pastrami sandwich ever. Both landed in the trash. Give me a Langer's #19 any day.

Hmm, haven't been in a couple of years but it's always been good when I've been. I generally prefer their pulled pork though and fries
