I think so too. A shifty politician like him would take advantage of any opportunity to get votes. The other group whose vote he wants are those who want OJ to suffer. There are plenty in the LA area. Angry, gullible, not too smart people are the kind Garcetti can work on.

Eric Garcetti's father, Gil Garcetti, was the LA district attorney who tried OJ and lost a case where a lot of taxpayer dollars were spent. The Garcetti family definitely has a personal axe to grind with OJ to put it mildly.
