Homeless spreading disease in L.A county and elsewhere in CA.

Any guarantee that non-homeless can't catch these diseases since the homeless are in such proximity these days.

Oh, joy, another day of more fear-mongering and political bashing from the troll.

Just get the Hep A and Hep B vaccines.

Anyone can get Hep A from a sketchy restaurant, cruise ship, foreign countries, etc., it's hardly restricted to the homeless.

True, but they are closer and encountered more often and use facilities from time to time we do.

How do they get help and who pays for it. If you get it, who pays for it?

Their lifestyle is the problem and yours is not, so how does it get fixed rather than getting worse?

Hey all, don't forget to hose down your shoes when you get home -- that BM you stepped in may not have been from a dog.

I agree that getting the vaccine is the best action. New York has a program for adults who are uninsured and at risk: https://www.health.ny.gov/diseases/c...ne_program.htm

Add: I see MN also has a program:
Free Hepatitis Vaccine for Eligible Adults - Minnesota Dept. of Health

As does San Diego County where this epidemic is occurring:
Immunization Clinic Schedule

It is worthwhile to check out your county health department for resources if you don't have insurance. If you have insurance, your ins. is required to provide vaccines for free at the point of service, even if you haven't met any deductible you may have.
