Yay! Liberal acceptance is great! Just as long your beliefs 100% coincide with mine! Diversity! Yay!

The hypocrisy has never been stronger.

I often thrust myself into the opposing views to better understand the various thought processes that are out there...but I wouldn't call the OP's shallow thinking a thought process. Rather the absence thereof. It's like claiming diversity is had solely via integrating different skin tones...ignoring the fact that participants in these outspoken groups have the exact same mindset therefore zero diversity.

Do better, people.

I don't usually watch Tucker Carlson, but I saw an amazingly funny piece last night where he was interviewing some Calexit guy who was obviously stoned. Towards the end, Tucker pointed out how the middle class is fleeing Los Angeles, and this idiot actually tried to claim that was a good thing that they were leaving to go to "boring other states", because it created more room for more (low income) immigrants to come in. I highly recommend going to Youtube and finding it (just search for Tucker Carlson high or Tucker Carlson stoned, I'm not sure which one triggers the right search).

All I can say is that I'm thankful this area is so massive that the outright crazies aren't all I'm subjected to every day like it was when I was in Seattle. Interviews like that remind me that the level of stupidity and 1-party idealism still exists down here, but there's simply too many people for them to *all* be nuts.

That's all Trump will bring us, a little bit more time. Plan accordingly. Expect ever lower standards, future authoritarianism, cradle-to-grave socialism with a resultant second rate military, ultra high tax rates, media stoked class warfare, and the normalization and celebration of political violence, low IQs and incivility.

True, as much as I love that Trump got elected, I don't think he will save the country. The system is too much in the swamp. I just don't see this country caring about what we made this country great. They care about this elusive progress.

Trump is the swamp though. He wasnt this outsider that came in to make things better. He is a ridiculously corrupt person, serves only himself, and lies about everything. He lies about things that are so easy to double check but he doesnt care.

I was not Hillary's biggest fan, but Trump is making this country worse not better.

As Trump is finding out, there is only so much a President can do.

Our system (thankfully) is not designed to carry out the will of one individual. We have checks and balances. Trump ran for the job without the proper preparation, so it is no surprise that he is getting stymied in it. If someone entered real estate development or hospitality, businesses that Trump has done very well in, without any familiarity with it, they would likewise find themselves over their heads most likely.

As state and local government affects our lives even more than the presidency does, Trump may have done more good if he had ran for governor of New York in 2014 as he considered rather than for president.

BTW, most of the people leaving California arent conservative. They just got priced out.
Unfortunately it will be a long time before the state adopts a more progressive CA style income tax scheme since they don't have one at all.
