you're not serious right?

There are still some Mecha Movement folks in parts of SoCal and NorCal. Most of these Latins are/can be extremely racist. Thankfully it's a dying culture and mindset but you still see some of that attitude in the community. Especially their racism towards Black people.

gentrified - What a curious word to describe a changing neighborhood...usually from a slum to a safe, productive, neighborhood....it's a badge of honor and many US Cities could use more of it!.

Thats a pro of gentrification sure but you do have to admit that it has serious consequences in terms of displacing poor and vulnerable people from homes they've lived in for years

Doesn't matter, you don't live in LA correct? You only lived in LA for a very short time? Like a year or two?

I moved here in 1988, I think I and others who are long time residents or even better natives, have a better handle on the place than you do.

Thanks, I will. Because I actually live here and have since the late 80s.

Notice you can't answer the questions, you don't live here, and you did only for a very brief time.

Nothing wrong with that, but you don't live here.

What about the problem now where the poor and vulnerable are displacing millions of hard working, honest people that want to live in cities but can't? We spend too much time and wealth on the poor and "vulnerable" and it's time to move on. After some 50 years of Great Society programs and later welfare programs like food stamps, declare victory and put our efforts on the hard working and honest people in this country.
