It's amazing how corrupt this city is .

This affects apartment renters too not just businesses and condo owners.

Small carting companies hired by individual businesses and apartment owners have no need to line the pockets of City Council and mayoral candidates. But giant carting companies with pockets deep enough to bid and win on the new exclusive franchises have everything to gain by keeping the City Council and mayor in their pockets. While direct campaign contributions are limited by law, there are plenty of work-arounds like PAC contributions and support of pet project ballot measures. Let the countdown begin to the first ethics law violations.
