One bedroom condos are actually some of the WORST things to buy.
That's no typo. It's actually 242 sqft for 300k

I think I have seen something like this for sale in one of those buildings before .
I guess for a live in maid to live there ?

I doubt there is a kitchen ..

Here is a condo in century city that was $2.149 million and they said maids unit will be sold separately for $160,000

So I guess maids units are a thing in century city condo buildings

It's <300sqft.

Likely unfolding 1 of 4 ways:
  1. Someone in the industry will buy it as an LA crash pad.
  2. A neighboring unit owner will buy it and consume it.
  3. Someone with the OP's mindset will buy it thinking it's a good deal...and rent it for ~$1500/mo max.
  4. Someone who needs an LA address (legitimate or illegitimate) will buy it and never step foot in it.

It's a tiny condo and I'd not be super enthusiastic about trying to make money on that unit.

Oakland is gentrified now. If you think Oakland is a third world country then you'll think you are on another planet in those LA neighborhoods

That would be where the maid lives. There would be a bathroom and possibly a kitchenette, but probably not a full kitchen. This would not be a unit for rent.

It's literally a maid's unit--the 242 is NOT a typo. Looks like it only lists to current owners, in the building. Places in that building easily go for 1 million.
