I'm really enjoying this weather. Does anybody else feel that L.A. is a happier place this time of year? It feels more mellow -- it's a great time to curl up with a good book or laptop and sip coffee, sometimes getting to enjoy the rain and the life it brings to all the foliage while the city funk gets washed away.

I wish it was like this year round.

But then again I think that the Richmond and Sunset in SF have the best weather in California.

A couple miles from the beach is not coastal?

Hmmm Dana Point is 58 right now too. Is that coastal?

I love it. Put the chilled moscato away and broke out the hot chocolate.

It definitely feels more like the holidays are on their way when there's a nice chill in the air.

I prefer it too, especially since we have 8-9 month summers now. But I don't think the city is any more mellow. Traffic is just as bad if not a little worse. Only from about December 15 to the new year does the city really die down. That's a lovely time. 2 weeks of what LA traffic used to be like.

I wholeheartedly agree, this is a great time of year. Since I work outdoors as an appraiser, those 100+ degree days are really a pain. I also enjoy being able to occasionally wear a sweater or, on those rare days, a JACKET. I also like the time change that comes along this weekend. Since I need light, no appointments after 4:00 which means I'm off the freeway by 5 - 5:30 and my evenings are longer. Add in the coming holidays and it's just a great time of year.
