Yesterday I went to my “go to” place (Olsons Delicatessen and Café on Pico Blvd., in Los Angeles) and was told that they did not have any Lingonberries and they did not know when they would have more in stock . . . it seems that they got some in the summer and sold out and are still waiting for a new shipment.

I was told that Berolina Bakery & Pastry Shop (in Glendale on Ocean View Blvd.) sells them. Yet since they were closed yesterday (on Sundays), I have to wait until they open to see if they have any.

Yet I was wondering (as a possible backup plan, in case Berolina's does not work out), if anyone knows where get fresh or frozen Lingonberries in the Los Angeles area? I do see where I can buy them online, however there is a 5 pound minimum and the prices are around $80 for 5 pounds. In my case, I only need 1 pound (as that is all I need to get our family through the upcoming holiday season). Yet I don’t want to buy 5 pounds and keep them in my freezer for the next 4 years . . . as I prefer that if they are frozen, I don’t want them to be more than 1 year old.

I checked Ikea, but they only sell Lingonberry preserves, jams, drinks, and drink mixes. . . but not actual fresh or frozen Lingonberries.

I think you can only get them in Sweden, and even if purchased there, you won't be able to bring them into the US.

I believe you can buy them from the food hall at IKEA.

Preserves only.

You can buy frozen ones here, but I'm sure OP knew that already.

OP, thanks for the mention of Olson's. Going to have to swing by there next time I'm in town.

Thanks Everyone, I appreciate the help.

As it turns out, Berolina Bakery & Pastry Shop did not work out. They are also closed on Monday’s, so upon telephoning them today, they informed me that they use Lingonberries in some of their bakery offerings, but they do not sell Lingonberries to the public.

Highlanderfil, I will try your suggestion of ordering via Northwest Wild Foods (via the link you posted), as they (Northwest Wild Foods) also sell Lingonberries on Amazon . . . yet since Lingonberries seem to be unavailable locally here , I might just bite the bullet and order the 5 or so pounds.

Thanks a MILLION everyone!
