You know something that really hurt hard working American workers ? NAFTA
The thing you're hearing now is that the stock market going up have nothing to do with Trump. The night of the election, all I saw on CNN and MSNBC was happiness as they showed the DOW Futures going down by over 300 (the nexy day it went up by that amount). I liken it to the Republicans who kept blaming Obama for the continued decline of the stock market when he first got in office as if he had anything to do with that. It was already in motion.

People pick their sides and put their blinders on. Sad sad sad...

That's it...I have always said these countries need to stand up to the elite and power houses. I thought why aren't these folks who are coming to America not yelling and screaming at politicians in their countries. I know I would not want to be pushed out of my country. It never made sense to me.

I have zero against the Latinos. I think many of them are hard working but lets be real - there are some who do not want to work - expect freebies and belong to gangs.

Here where I live, the folks who are Latino and have been here for generations are the "Best" - we have some great neighbors who own restaurants and work their butts off. These are the people I have the utmost respect for and yes, they are Latino. I live in a melting pot. I do love it.

The Wall needs to be built because we do not need some ISIS member coming in with a dirty bomb... or with diseases. There is NO vetting when people sneak over the border and many do bring illnesses. It's just common sense. :-)

I agree with the premise of Climate Change but my question to those on the Left always is "What do you want the USA to do about it?". I keep hearing from those on the Left about how we need to cut back this or cut back that all the while they are forgetting about the 2 big elephants in the room India and China. Nobody here in the US wants to talk about them at all in regards to what they do to Climate Change. The Paris Accord that we thank God pulled out of would have let China continue to be a "developing country" until 2030 and then they would have carbon limits put on to them. How is that even fair?
My coworker keeps talking about how much China is doing to help the environment but he is not seeing the big picture at all. So China put in the worlds largest solar farm, wow that's cool. They also signed a deal with Pakistan this year to build 100 massive coal fired power plants to help the electrical needs for Pakistan.

Next we'll be hearing from the leftists how Saudi Arabia is doing so much for women's rights..because women can drive there now.

Any chance they get to make America look bad compared to other countries.

Look at Bernie and his supporters were always saying how much of a paradise socialist countries in Europe are compared to America.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia...

I saw this link about all that's been going on there and how it links to some of the crazy stuff that's been happening here. Long read but pretty interesting: https://imgur.com/a/DTeK7?i=1

Not that everything is true but a lot of dots connect...

The wall won't stop them from coming in, especially because Trump wants to cut the Coast Guard to pay for the wall. You might have heard of something called boats?

While Trump's economic policies are proving to be successful and has surrounded himself with some good people he does have a mercurial, self-destructive streak which has willing enablers, and he has a hard time grasping transparency and constitutional limits on power. He also has way too much tolerance for some really bad people and panders to them. He also - ironically enough - is not the greatest manager and his lack of background in things like the military does show.

I just wish the sane Trump would predominate and the crazy Trump would be held in check.

I agree. We need more of this Trump:

or this one:

...but best of all was this one:

I think some of the crazies that supported Trump got to his head. These versions are way better

That's not nearly as common as border incursions. And that's like saying it's futile for a home owner to lock their front door if they have windows through which a burglar can enter.

If it's not common it's because we actually have something to minimize it. And money can't be easily skimmed from it nor can it generate income for connected people via graft, cost overruns, selectively awarded contracts, etc. Trump being in the real estate and development biz in NY and NJ and coming from a family that was part of the old Brooklyn Dem machine knows very well how this works. Think Second Avenue Subway, Meadowlands American Dream, the Javits Center, or - in MA - the Big Dig....
