No really, if you start to provide free housing in LA, a lot of people will want it. You will never be able to meet demand.

The moms 4 housing disaster was at last put to a stop in Oakland when the 'hard working' squatters were removed. I am not sure where the dads were, but the moms had many children.

Well, you know what they say, big money goes around the world, big money underground. Big money got a mighty voice, big money make no sound. Big money pull a million strings, big money hold the prize. Big money weave a mighty web, big money draw the flies.

Sometimes pushing people around, sometimes pulling out the rug. Sometimes pushing all the buttons, sometimes pulling out the plug. It's the power and the glory, it's a war in paradise. It's a Cinderella story, on a tumble of the dice.

Why do we have laws if the police and politicians ignore them?

Re: Converting St Vincent's to a homeless housing and service center (see post 8256):

Momentum is building to use St. Vincent’s as a homeless service center. Let’s not squander it:

Today CalTrans with a highway patrol as guard removed a homeless encampment that had sprung up along the 210 west before Hubbard. As I drove past I saw where they had grouped 10 or 20 shopping carts they had stolen.
