Oh yeah he is just great, he goes to a Christian homeless shelter in Eureka and claims he can solve homelessness by forcing people into rehab and making housing cheaper by repealing the California Environmental Quality Act. Here's a better article about your hero and his bold journey to dangerous streets in Eureka.

garcetti claims the 85 MILLION the city has received is being put to good use-
Vagrants out wandering around, sick, high, all kinds of mess and crime while the money is disappearing- good use means what ? Everyone can see what is happening with the millions-
Only secured, supervised facilities can prevent more of this kind of results from the current leadership https://www.dailynews.com/2018/10/23...is-identified/
Never had a shot-only a hopeless slave for the big money machine

More life long criminals are being let out every hour- they want to get loaded but have no income - unlike the "public servants" ,vendors and advocates

He’s been mayor since 2013 and way before that in the city council .

Interesting invention.

How 12 teens invented a solar-powered tent for the homeless

I'm astounded at the rising rate of homelessness here in CA.

Think the tax money will go to good use and we will see any actual progress ?

——
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday that the city has received its full disbursement of $85 million in state funds for various homeless initiatives, and plans to dedicate at least $20 million just for the Skid Row area where an estimated 2,000 people sleep on the streets.

The previously approved, one-time Homeless Emergency Assistance Program dollars come from a state budget surplus, along with an additional $81 million awarded to the Los Angeles Homelessness Services Authority, which administers homeless programs in the county.

On the evening of Oct. 17, as Venice residents roughed up L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti for his plan to build temporary homeless housing in the neighborhood, Pasadena residents gathered for a meeting on the planned conversion of a motel into permanent supportive housing.....at one point a woman held up a piece of paper and said it proved the meeting was a sham because the city had already begun to convert motels in the neighborhood without consulting residents.

That was news to Pasadena City Councilwoman Margaret McAustin, who asked to see the document.

She couldn’t believe what she was looking at. Someone had used her official city letterhead to misinform the public.

“At that point I said, ‘Where did you get this? This is a forgery, and this is against the law,’ ” McAustin said. “She said, ‘Well, it was on my porch.’ That’s when I realized that a lot of the people who came into that meeting came in angry because they were under a false impression.”

Yes, we'll pay to house the homeless, but not here, or here, or here, or.... - Los Angeles Times

Who are you referring to as “regressives”, OC? Nobody said they want “bums, filth, disease, thieves -- mentally ill in their areas” ... who would? Why do you keep saying ridiculous things like this?

A small handful posting here have been feeding you and your angry ilk legal information that you all keep ignoring: “we” can’t put them in the desert ... and neither can you. For legal / constitutional / practical / financial reasons explained ad infinitum ... ad nauseum.

“We”, who I assume you refer to as “regressives”, didn’t write the constitution ... nor the laws ... nor do we enforce them. We’re just here to explain what we all have to work with.

Not to mention that labeling anyone here a political epithet is against the TOS.

The LA Times article last posted shows persons who are showing their displeasure that homeless would be brought to their communities. This article refers to these same persons calling homeless "bums" and mentally ill. These persons are in areas that are well known to be liberal, hence the reference, hence the mention.
