**I know this has probably been asked a million times so if there's a duplicate post then please direct me there. I did search and couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Yes. Kids, thats right. I'm moving to L.A. I know its a terrible place to live, as I've been so eloquently educated by this forum, but I'm still moving.

I'm looking to move in and around Burbank. I was thinking Glendale, Studio City, Hollywood (not sure which areas), and maybe Pasadena. I might be open to Santa Clarita, Valencia, or Covina if the price matches the commute.

Looking to rent an apartment (Studio; 1bdrm).

I would be most interested in knowing what areas to avoid. I know safer areas are more expensive but I'd like to step out each morning to a car that still has all its tires.

How is Downtown L.A.? With controlled access and parking would it be worth looking into?

I'd appreciate any advice or tips, and please excuse any sardonic, condesending overtones I have a cold and its late. Thanks in advance.
