I submitted an unemployment claim (in CA), requesting to reopen my claim from July 2017 as its been less than a year since I've used it. I am aware that I may not get documents mailed to me for 10 business days and since I submitted my claim on Friday 4/6/18, I'm likely still in that waiting period. However, when I tried to login to my UI Online account my user ID (was just my first and middle name) no longer worked as I guess they only use actual emails now to login. So I registered for mine with my email, provided security questions, etc. For the portion asking for my EDD Identification # (10 digit number) I submitted what was part of my last claim (from July 2017; it was a necessary field and wouldn't let me make an account without it) as thats the only number I had. SO I have two questions: will I be getting a new identification number on my docs (hopefully arriving soon) even though I wanted to reopen this claim since I'm within the year period (therefore not needing to wait another week long waiting period)? - Or - did I mess up and should I have made an account once I got the "new" documents? Because I don't even see anything about the claim I filed on 4/6/18 once I login. DOES your unemployment claim, whether you've received docs in the mail, show up on you UI online account when you login, anyway?
Please help!

It really is a mess. Not worth the hassle. I remember they cut me off after only 1 check and I remember having the hardest time logging in.

Anyway, to answer your question: I think you're still in that waiting period and once you get the new forms and information mailed to you, your new id number will come, then you can log in. I think you're in limbo now, not officially processed in their system, which is probably why you can't log in.
