I may get a job working in Burbank and looking for a decent 2 bedroom condo/townhome to rent. Any ideas where to look and what budget to expect to rent?

I would be moving from San Diego so not that familiar with that part of LA.

Expensive like everywhere else now.

Other than the far west end, all of Burbank is nice and pretty much the same.

Except noise, traffic, whatever.

Hmm well hopefully the interview goes well and job pays decent to afford it.

I am amazed how do the maids and low paid cooks afford to live and work in LA?

Time to enforce immigration laws that would reduce overcrowding and bring rents back to normal.

A bunch of people in a home . Or people living with family .

Or they are under rent control . Tons of people paying like 1/2 the market rents .

Home prices have gone up a ton in L.A...the other day I passed by a ton fixer next to a place I had lunch was in the Silverlake /East Hollywood area .

It’s pending at $620k a little house 690 sq ft

Last sale price was 1997 .. $83,000 ..

Ugh might as well live in a camper van or not take the job unless it pays quite well!

Probably wouldn’t fly in Burbank , since they actually like to keep their city decent .

But in L.A our Mayor would probably make a gift basket for you to welcome you .

This is our Mayor . The one on the right . Next to one of his famous gift baskets .

He also likes to lecture us on thanking criminals for serving their jail time .

Haha too funny! Well so what places can one realistically live on a low salary like 70k a year in Burbank?

I really don't want to spend 4 hours a day commuting or sharing a room with 4 other men.
