All that has turned Los Angeles into an embarrassment. Have fun with your crowded overpriced sanctuary city and what comes with it. For those that read this and voted for Jerry Brown for a second term after he admitted on video to being a liar the first time...….what were you thinking? And I know it's tough to move away when you have a job and family here but there are so many better choices.
Sometimes you can’t just move. Drives me nuts when people say that. I would lose hundreds of thousands if I moved. Liquidating everything having to pay cap gains AND commissions or having to pay a property management company to rape me I mean manage our properties etc, or having to do 1031 exchanges (if I can find suitable properties). My job....I would take a pay cut going anywhere else.
Not everyone in Ca is having financial issues. Just because some can move at the drop of a hat doesn’t mean everyone can move by snapping their fingers.

Now, don't discourage her, pwright. What on earth could be wrong with those 118 degree summers and that vast expanse of concrete, anyway?

What's the appeal? I'll have to ask over 50k Californians that moved there this year. But your probably right Az is awful I definitely recommend you all to stay here in Lovely Ca.

This. How quickly people forget!

I agree. Even if you can moving is difficult especially when you have family and trying to find a job to where you move. My son in law applied for a job, flew out, and got it. So then he and my daughter moved. Part of the draw to Los Angeles is the rate of pay. But then you deal with the cost of living. Moving elsewhere he's making less but overall saving more money because he's getting much more bang for his buck.

That and the area is safer, cleaner, schools are nice, no gangs, no grafitti, no income tax, 5% sales tax, gas in on average $0.60 cheaper per gallon, average price for a home much less, no traffic, no sanctuary city/state.

To each his own. Los Angeles is simply not for me anymore.
