Thanks for taking a look at this.

I've been up Tuna Canyon Road from Pacific Coast Highway and not found the water tank. As other posters have said, quite a lot of roads in this area look very similar. Without any reference points such as a building, landmark, signpost, or just about anything these stretches of road are proving difficult to locate. If someone can find the tank then perhaps the other sections of road are nearby.
Do you hike up Tuna Canyon?

Sorry to give you sleepless nights.

The Man from UNCLE episodes you mention were

‘The Double Affair’ parts 1 and 2 aka The Spy with My Face

‘The Five Daughters Affair’ parts 1 and 2 aka The Karate Killers

Both these use the Western Canyon Road, which leads up to the tunnel and the Griffith Observatory.

Various movies and other TV series such as The Rockford Files, Mission: Impossible, Mannix, Honey West, Amos Burke: Secret Agent and more recently NCIS LA have also had footage filmed here.

No, I use Streetview on either Google Maps or Google Earth, which I can do from home. You can cover a lot of distance very quickly with Streetview and it’s extremely good for finding road locations.
