Is it worth visiting Universal Studios if you are in your mid 50's and don't care for roller coaster rides. Basically, is there anything to do for a old dude?

Oh, absolutely. I, at 64 and my sister, at 69 went there a year or so ago on her visit to L.A.. It was so much fun. The new "rides" are amazing, they're done with video. You think you're moving, but you're not. You feel like you're flying around but you're just sitting in your chair. I can't wait to go again.

Do they still have the Battlestar Galactica thing where you're abducted by Cylons and they shoot steam at the tram? I loved that when I was a wee lad.

LOL. A few friends (all big strong young men) of mine back in those days actually subdued the Cylons to "save" the riders . We got in trouble with the park! Hilarious.

Loved Battlestar Galactica.

It's been so many years. I don't think they just have the Jaws thing and Battlestar Galactica ROFLMAO.

No more Jaws?! Boo! I wonder if they at least still have the spinning cylinder.

The tram ride is what does it - it IS an actual active backlot, after all.

If you like your pop culture, the Simpsons area is neatly done, the Jurassic Park area likewise and while I haven't been, people are raving about the Harry Potter area.

Jaws is at the backlot...it's very cheesy though, it's not an actual ride, like it used to be.

I don't remember going through the ice tunnel, last time I was there.

Harry Potter is fun, but very, very small.

Well I'm glad everybody made it past the Cylons. I guess they just gave up since everybody who was captured seems to have also been rescued. #PunchACylon

You need to check out Conan the Barbarian fight a dragon!

Or maybe you'll get picked to be teleported on the Star Trek set.
