Hey guys,

Need to know what neighborhoods have the best day/night views of downtown Los Angeles.

I know that the Hollywood Hills have great views in most places.

Thanks

Aside from the Hollywood Hills the views from Westwood and Santa Monica foothills are very nice. Plus Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Echo Park hills have great views. Further inland in Mt Washington, Montecito Hts, Monterey Hills, El Sereno are impressive views. Even up in La Crescenta, La Canada, San Rafael Hills, Glendale and Altadena have incredible views of downtown.

Here are some photos:

Really, given the height of DTLA's skyline, you can see it from pretty much anywhere in the hills. Places such as Los Feliz, Silverlake, Echo Park, Highland Park, Hollywood Hills, El Sereno, much of NELA, et al, are really good. Though, if your building is tall enough, you can see DTLA from anywhere.

Westlake's rooftops have some of my favorites, though (along with those from Boyle Heights). The head-on look can't be beat:

I love the views from Boyle Heights, not to mention the one from the Bartlett (7th and Spring), where a friend lives.
