I would likely want to be within 60 minutes of Century City or DTLA. I should have mentioned that in my original post.

People park near the beaches all the time when they go on day trips. When you lived near Venice Beach, did you make the beach part of your everyday life?

Belmont Shores is within an hour drive of Downtown LA at rush hour. More like an hour and a half from Century City. El Segundo is within an hour drive at rush hour from both.

Torrance Beach is gorgeous with mostly apartments facing the water. But it’s probably over an hour from CC and Downtown at rush hour.

I live in SaMo as well 6 blocks away from the beach, and I frequent the beach almost once a day.

The parking at the beach where I live doesn't ever seem to be full south of the 10.

I don't drive there ever, but for me it's definitely worth the cost, i've never lived in a place where i've been this satisfied.

The weather is freaking awesome, all of my friends are always dying to come visit.
