Since their usually all wood, no stucco, no sheetrock, I'd get as much fire prevention built in as possible.

Boy, did the weather folks underestimate. It's 117 right now in neighboring Woodland Hills, and it's just after 1 pm. The metal box of a mobile home sounds even worse an idea than it did before

I took it to mean that he used to live in LA (he said he worked in LA Unified before) and that he is moving back. He is a teacher presumably, and doesn't want his kids in LAUSD. I worked for 17 years in LAUSD. I am considering moving back as well. There is a shortage of jobs in my field (at least the LAUSD website indicates that I have two "high needs" credentials), so I would assume it wouldn't be difficult for me to jump back in.

And I have a job where I am right now.

I don't think you can just assume he is making things up.
