So I filed for unemployment for the weeks of 06/24-06/30.
I didn't work that entire week.
The second week was between 07/01/-07/07. This week I worked.
They paid me $21.00 for this week and said that the "waiting period served" is for the week of 06/24-06/30.
Does his mean that I am not getting paid for this week? I have obviously filed claims before this and have gotten paid. Thus, why would they choose this week not to pay me. Please, I need this money for my rent.

When you file for unemployment they don't pay you for the first week that you are off of work, that is the waiting period. They didn't pay you for the week of 6/24-6/30. They will pay you for the next week. If you are eligible to earn $300.00 a week with unemployment and you work during the week and earn $250.00 unemployment will pay you $50.00 for the week so that you still make $300.00. If you work and make more that $300.00 you won't get paid from unemployment. If you then don't work the next week you'll get your full $300.00 from unemployment until your unemployment amount is paid in full (read the letter or email that they sent you, it explains this).
