Regarding Coverdale/Page, this was a hit of theirs that got a lot of radio play:

Yep, I like that one --- good stuff. They might reunite for some work.

And who can forget Robert Plant's early solo stuff...quite good too.

I don't remember that one, but I remember this:

And then he took it up a notch with this:

I remember that being a big hit in the Summer of 1988, around the same time Whitesnake and Def Leppard also had major hits on the chart. It was a rockin' Summer.

I would have paid a great deal to see them in the late 80's or 90's, but sounds like 2007 was a bit late according to your post. However, I did see Stewart Copeland on an episode of Storage Wars a few years ago and he seemed just as energetic as ever.
IIRC, Stewart Copeland was the youngest of the three and Andy Summers was the oldest. Stewart Copeland was on a talk show last year with Tim Ferriss and while he had wrinkles and gray hair, he was still energetic and engaged in playing/making music. It was a good interview and worth a viewing for Police fans.

I saw a LOT of concerts in that time period. All for about 10-20 bucks - with the exception of KISS. I had to get a scalper to sell me one for over 100 bucks. Don't ask me why I did that. But, the memory is still good.
I've seen Van Halen, Queen, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep, and a host of other lesser bands including some of the forgotten one hit wonder acts like Sugarloaf.

The Last concert I went to was in 1985 to see Foreigner in Atlanta. It was the Agent Provacateur tour I think.

Did you pay to see Elton's Million Dollar Piano? He can't carry a tune anymore! It's sad to see Elton way past his prime; the audience was generally happy to fill in his songs.

Luckily, I caught a clip of a recent Vegas concert and took the warning not to spend money to see Elton in terrible condition.

I saw Elton in 2007 at a private event and I agree. It was apparent with Bennie and the Jets.

Others who can't sing anymore: Stevie Nicks. Bob Seger was good but he had trouble with the strength of his voice.

I would pay A LOT to see Zeppelin.
