hi. i am doing an internship for the summer and I will need a place to stay for very short term (2 or 2.5 months). is this area okay? will I be able to get a feel for the city overall? I think I may want to move into santa monica or manhattan beach aftr I start full time work. is it worth doing my internship in LA, or should I do it in SF, and then just move to LA after I start full time?

You'll be fine in frat row. But if you stay there, you won't get much of the city. I'm sure you won't have a problem getting someone to play tour guide.
