There are few Aldi stores around it seems in the L.A area .
Only store I’ve been to from the list is Food 4 Less . It seems the Hispanic and ethnic markets like the ones listed and stores like Vallarta and Jons etc have real cheap prices on certain stuff but if you are looking for kind of name brand things the prices are higher than they would be at a Ralph’s or Vons .

Meanwhile Stuff like pita bread at Jons is really cheap like 69 cents or something a bag but at a Ralph’s its like $2 or more . Produce always seems cheaper at these markets but condition is often worse than at Vons or Ralph’s

So everything is a trade off I feel and if one wants the lowest prices you have to go to multiple stores but for some people it’s not worth the effort and time .
