I know 2028 is far into the future, but I would assume that public transportation will likely significantly improve in the next 10 years in preparation for the Olympics. A few articles were published a while back but haven't heard any major new developments yet - any thoughts?

If this does materialize, property values are likely to increase at an even quicker pace.

I dont know what you mean. There are plenty of development happening around or within1/2 mile of many Metro stations. Anyone who has taken the Metro Expo line has seen Sepulveda station, Culver city Station, La Cienega Station with lots of large development construction. Santa Monica has seen construction along Bergamont and Downtown SM station. And Expo/USC has seen a lot and currently has George Lucas museum and Memorial Coliseum ongoing construction. The big one is right at Pico Station with all these huge high rise and skyscrapers all over. But all these will be done in 1-2 years from now and I dont know if more will be done since there isnt a lot of land /parking lots remaining.

There are some projects around the Crenshaw line but dont know much about it. Not far for the Inglewood station over 1 mile is the huge NFL stadium and shopping/residential complex and possibly an LA Clippers arena south of there.

Regional connector and Downtown in general always has construction going on. But there isn;t a lot of big land to develop or tear down. Will build a hotel/residential complex across Disney Concert Hall soon. And trying to get something residential towers near 2nd/broadway, too. plus a park extension in the big dirt lot in Grand Park across LA Times building. But Little Tokyo has seen a lot of development in all their old parking lots so overall not much change. Parker center will be torn down and an city office tower will replace it.

Wilshire Purple Line has some projects currently being done, but they will be done in 1-2 years while the subway will open any years from now. Currently Century City is building 2 huge residential towers and ongoing renovations at the mall. UCLA is going to build thousands of new dormitories room in many buildings around the area. UCLA will host athletes in these dormitories during the Olympics but otherwise most of Westwood is built out.

The article names the only large transit projects likely to get done by the Olympics 28. Purple, Crenshaw, RC, LAX, Vermont BRT, Valley Van Nuys, I think I got them all, but these are for certain to get done by 28. The rest, no it wont. The map with all the new lines will take 30-50+ years to get done.

Can they add more cops on the Blue Line? I hear there are issues. If not, tourists on the Blue Line are gonna be in for a surprise.

I rode the train from bundy to downtown. The closer we got to downtown the sketcher the passengers got. I'm not one that alarms easily but it was getting uncomfortable the looks that i was recieving. It felt like a mugging or catching a disease could be a real possibility.

"I'll never ride that thing again" was my take on it

The west Santa Ana line as well. Also the green line extension to Torrance. I can’t predict when they will get done, but they are funded to get done by 2028.

You rode the expo line, not the blue line. It’s actually much nicer.

When did you “hear” about these “issues”? Before or after LAPD started patrolling? And which parts of the line have these issues? Different agencies patrol different segments.
