I actually toured the Wilshire Vermont apartment last year, which is located directly above the Wilshire/Vermont subway station and is a few blocks from my building. It gets so-so online reviews, but I thought it was a pretty nice inside and had a good range of amenities. It seems like most of the complaints are either about management or the homeless people who hang out in the outdoor courtyard near the entrance to the Metro station.

FYI there's another luxury building at that intersection which I like better than Wilshire Vermont. The other building is named The Vermont and is located at 3150 Wilshire Boulevard, which is directly across the street from Wilshire Vermont. It has better amenities but is also more expensive; still, I think it's worth a look.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't have one currently, but may get one. Fortunately our apartment building has a "dog run". But I can tell that the neighborhood isn't particularly dog friendly; there are virtually no nice parks that I could see.
