How about being in favor of a city being built out and that is it. Live somewhere else.

The elitist exclusionary mindset in a nutshell. Thanks for being clear about your beliefs.

No, what's elitist is telling us what to do here. People like you want to take away everybody's car and cram residents into shoebox apartments. That's not what we're about here.

If someone has a property that they want to build an apartment building on, who are you to tell them they can't? You don't own it. It's not yours. Stop telling people what to do with their own property.

No one is taking away your car. You pay for your parking - you should pay for your congestion. Parking garages are much less useful when they're full, and freeways are much less useful when they're congested.

Why are you repeating the same things after I've already refuted your arguments? I do not agree with the idea of punishing car users for the over-development of L.A.

You've done nothing but give your opinion, which has no basis in fact. I could challenge you to provide one scholarly study that says we shouldn't build more housing or mass transit, but I know you don't care what the facts are.

Pricing driving is not "punishment." It's necessary to avoid the "tragedy of the commons." When a good is unpriced, it is overused. If street parking was free downtown, there would never be any street parking available. When roads are free, they're congested. So long as we're adding jobs, we MUST add housing. To do otherwise causes even more traffic, because then more people have to drive in from farther away.

Would you give it a rest?

People can’t just build whatever they want though. There are zoning laws. Can’t just say you want to tear down your house and build an apartment building .

We already have the highest taxes and highest gas prices in the nation . People are tired of being nickeled and dimed so politicians can get their pet projects and Pat themselves on the back and say they are climate change heros and social justice warriors .

I'm tired of being forced to drive everywhere because transit is terrible. I'm tired of people driving too fast and killing people. I'm tired of disgusting dirty air. The status quo is not okay. Conservatives love to write off arguments by calling people names (so childish!)...

Yeah, you don't like cars...we get it. I'm not giving up mine, though. Why don't you chill and have a slice of pie...
