Is it about "couldn't make it"? For example I'm a gainfully employed home owner but my goodness, the crap and costs we put up with to live here get a bit more unbearable every year. Like I said before, not one single friend or coworker that moved to Phoenix regrets it. Same goes for Dallas/Austin but I personally dislike TX. I do agree the lowest class moves to Vegas, to do most likely service work.

Great! Happy for you. Really.

Now, why is it so damn important for you to ramble on and on and on and on about it here? Do you think you are unique in your discovery and have a moral mission to enlighten the 40 million not-so-bright-as-MuscleCar drowning in the impossibilities of California?

I don't believe I've read another person's posts who seems as angry and agitated about living here. It has got to take a toll on you.

You have repeatedly told us this. Maybe you could take up journaling until you move?

It's been fairly common during my tenure here. Seems common in L.A. if you ask me. I was once told the average turn around time of a person moving here to 'live the dream' and then leaving is 6 months. You either have to have a really solid income, or really really want to live here.
