Does everyone else mainly get the calls in Chinese or is it just because I'm in the SGV? 90% are in another language.

Nomorobo catches about 80% of them on my landline. Don't have as big of an issue with my cell.

We got three calls today about Social Security - "our account was locked" My husband pushed #1 and yelled at the guy - told him he could not understand him and to get his F&*$$$$ supervisor and the guy hung out...Husband says he had an accent of course. -

We are getting these phone calls daily now. Both on landline and cell phone. They really need to do something about this. My husband read that people have been scammed and that is awful. They are preying on seniors and other ethnic groups here in USA who probably get scared to death and do the payment. So not right.

NEVER GIVE INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE- Social Security WILL ALWAYS contact you by mail. They never call. Please give this information to loved ones and friends.

I get at least one robo call per day and 1/3 are in Chinese. The others are the "IRS", "my credit card company" or real people offering remodeling quotes.

I can't believe that cell phones don't have the ability to be programmed to activate a blanket block for all calls/numbers except ones in the contact list. Currently, numbers have to be blocked one by one. But this is a tedious and annoying process. There HAS to be a way to do this.

Maybe next years version of the Iphone will have this feature. That alone would make it a huge hit. If the FCC and other regulators can't (or won't) do anything about this, then surely technology can.

I get the "Home Center" home remodeling project scam calls about once per week. Every time they call I pretend like I'm interested then I ask for a website of the business they give me a fake address, or say "we don't have one" or they just hang up at that point.

By "landline" you mean one you can't carry away from home, but one that really comes over the internet----because Nomorobo does NOT work for copper-wired true landlines!

About half of those calls show up as "Scam Likely" on my phone.

I have a 310 registered to El Segundo and many of mine are in Chinese too. Don't worry. They're not discriminating against the SGV by calling you in Chinese lol.

One thing that's been helpful for me is I still have a 310, but I now live in NJ and haven't lived in LA full-time for almost 4 years now. So I know any 310 number calling me is a scam. I just ignore every single one now. So if you're reeaaallllyyyyyy sick of it, you could get a number with an out-of-state area code like me and just know that any number from that state is a scam
