I would never apply for such position, ever. If you not giving out salary information, even a range then that tells me you are paying below market. I know many people that will not apply for such positions.

No company in Aerospace ever discloses salary, this is nothing abnormal. Not Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop, or anyone else.

another 10 sec of search and there is a post for 140k. Basically if you want to get good talent you need to give them a reason to apply. Boeing does not need to give them a reason by the fact that they are Boeing. Same with Google, Facebook etc.

Big deal. Doesn't mean it's a great job. Working for a megacorp means you're a peon in a big company. Maybe a subject matter expert in a very small slice of the pie. Some like it, some don't.

You've gotta be creative to find talent. Think outside the box. Oh, wait, you work for a megacorp...

Unfortunately, we're probably going to have to read more, including posts like this one, until he moves to Phoenix.

Look no further - weed and laziness. My husband has the WORSE time trying to get young guys to work out on the tugs. They do not want to work the weekend as they love to party. Plus I hate to say this - they are LAZY today. Just a fact. Here's another truth - many will not work in my husband's line of work because of RANDOM drug checks. Can't have people doing drugs and being responsible on a large vessel. Too dangerous as well.

I've had a few people fail their drug test. People think because CA says it's legal, that they can do it. Aerospace companies work on Federal contracts, and they say weed is a no-no. So no BIG will hire anyone that smokes weed.
