Fairly vague suspect description...

Quote:
A manhunt was underway Tuesday for an assailant who shot and fatally wounded a 28-year-old man outside a restaurant at the Westfield Century City mall.

Officers responded to the shopping center, located in the 10200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, about 10:25 p.m. Monday and found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

That's not even a shady mall. Crazy.

Poor guy probably thought the worst part of his day was having to pay $30 parking to shop at a mall, and then gets shot

I was actually at the mall yesterday and thought about going to Javier's. Glad I left before the evening.

Pretty crazy that this happened at an expensive restaurant in an upscale mall in one of the nicest parts of LA.

Security is going to be seriously beefed up.

I often go there, which is what creeps me out about this. And it's usually a whole lot less "gansta" than Fox Hills or other malls. Times are a changin'.

BTW, remember the singing pianist? Back then, when my mom took me, you'd never imagine something like this happening. And when I was in high school this was a usual hangout and we'd go to the original AMC, and again, nothing like this would ever happen.

Description:

The gunman was described as about 25-30 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, and he wore a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to police.

Wow, that's helpful.

They nicely eliminate an item or two when they report a heinous crime in the Bay Area as well.
Common sense would make you think that a “Man Hunt” should offer more information.
I shake my head in disbelief at this.

We aren't allowed to bring identifying features (especially skin color) into descriptions now. People get their feelings hurt.

I am certain I saw one article where it said the gunman was African American and it was gang related. I am trying to find that article, but they made have changed the wording since then.
