What is the best public transportation from South Bay to DTLA?

Vanpool? Bus? Metro?

Then a connecting bus.

Silver Line Express bus. Not great imo but it’s there.

Torrance transit line 4x or the silver line. Whichever is more convenient for your location.

Torrance Transit and Gardena Transit have express buses from their areas and then uses the 110 freeway expressways to Downtown LA but are more for commuter hours with frequency in the mornings towards Downtown and then in the after work hours.
If you want more consistency or more hours from 4am-midnight then, The Metro Green line to Silver Line (or end of October when the Blue Line reopens is the fastest option. Going from Green Line terminus in South Bay to Downtown Metro station 7th street should take about 60-70 minutes or less if you got great connection time.

Fwiw, drive has been absolutely $&^%#%>| miserable the past two weeks. About an hour an a half from old town Torrance area to civic center with no reasonable street alternatives. If that keeps up I’d be forced to use one of the bus lines unless those now take 2 hours.

Someone needs to give up their car. It would be nice if we had a rail line, but we don’t and 1 1/2 hours for a 22 mile commute is insane.

It runs on the HOV/carpool lane in the median of the I-110 freeway between Gardena and downtown L.A.
