So excited to be able to make this dream a reality after all.

Los Angeles is absolutely [mod cut] amazing. I love it here, and I am here to stay.
I'm happy for you.

Congratulations. Do you like the neighborhood and quality of life? I am moving to LA as well for educational purposes mainly.

Glad you are so happy. Los Angeles isn't for everyone that is for sure but many people who live there do, indeed love it. And you have picked a great place to live if you are single or there are only 2 of you in the family. Continue to enjoy your new home.

I am well aware of the challenges and downsides of living in LA. I also moved here from the DC area, which has a very high COL traffic and some other similar aspects to the LA area.

The positives here far outweigh the negatives IMO
Your coming from DC explains your love for LA and of course makes the transition much easier. WE did the opposite in the 80s; left L.A. for DC and loved living in the burbs of D.C.

Congrats. I always liked Pasadena. Hope you enjoy the Socal lifestyle. Should be exciting.

The dodos are pretty much confined to the skid row area of downtown Los Angeles

Most of Los Angeles (except for Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive) is trash. I prefer Orange County

Pretty clever: I wonder what DMV stands for?

OP I can't think of a better place to live if you are single or childless than Pasa It is near everything, always has been a fun city and still is not right in the heart of Los Angeles.
