The canyon is 20 minutes flat most days. Take Channel Road/Entrada to 7th Street. Yeah, 30-35 minutes is about right. ALWAYS check Sigalert. If Topanga is backed up it's a nightmare.

If you're working in Woodland Hills, you should find a home closer to Woodland Hills.

It'll be around 45 mins to and hour . Considering traffic on the 405 is usually bad around 4-8 on the weekdays.

Sigalert? What is this, the year 2000? OP, check Waze on a random weekday morning to get a taste of the commute. My guess is also in the 45-60 minute range. I commuted from MDR to Sherman oaks a number of years ago and that used to take 30-40 minutes. Evenings were always worse than the mornings.

Shouldn't you be looking for the average commute from Santa Monica to El Paso?

No, it's Nashville.

I don't think the OP knows where he lives. He said previously he lives in Studio City which is nowhere near the beach or Wilshire.

In case the OP is serious, I'd give an hour for that drive.

And in a cool car. Nothing ruins Topanga more than a boring box that can't handle the turns. Am I right or am I right?

Nope, you're wrong. What ruins a trip through Topanga Canyon is THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. The ones who do 25 and hit the brakes in every curve.
