Of course not. But at least he/she is not under the delusion that only people who are out and about and are NOT essential workers are spreading infection. And there is the little inconvenient fact that essential workers are definitely the ones who are spreading COVID-19 in nursing homes, and those cases are a huge chunk of the total infections.

Asymptomatic means you can be transmitting the disease without symptoms,
and the gestation period is 2 weeks or more.
Get that through your thick skull.
I know it took me a while to let that sink in.
I have to be especially careful being a care giver to an elderly person in her 70s, and I am 69 years old my self.
I have friends that are infected and their chances do not look good.

That might be how it works in jails and prisons, also.

I think the implication is that outside behavior isn't as important, except in concerts for example (hence the long ban on them). In warm, sunny weather (hostile to COVID-19), most restrictions should be lifted, but in other outdoor settings, I think caution is warranted.

This should ease your mind.

If you were forced to play a game of Russian Roulette, with how many bullets would you want to play, one or two?

Skimmed through it, but the gist of it seems to be that we don't know for certain. And I'm wary of non-clinical studies.

This number for UCLA is incorrect. As of last night, it is just over 200. And, UCLA is offering hotel rooms and places to stay, that are not with their families, for infected employees.

I cannot speak to numbers for other organizations or how they are handling it, obviously, just what I know.

According to the graphic uploaded by Exitus Acta Probat in post #259, (and if the graphic is correct), that would not appear to be the case, unless the jogger or cyclist is wearing a mask. That graphic shows that COVID-19 carriers who are unmasked can infect a masked person with 70% contagion probability. I don't like those odds.

If unmasked joggers or cyclists are separated from you—for example, on the road, not on the same path as you—that is, of course, much better. Nevertheless, I would rather they are masked. Keep in mind that many people are much more likely to sneeze outdoors in the springtime, due to pollen, etc. Also, the unfit joggers and cyclists huff and puff and blow out a lot more "air" than fit people do.

Can those of us who are older or with pre-existing conditions carry bats or other sticks to ward off the un-masked who jog towards us on our paths, do you think? It would seem to level the playing field.
