Greetings folks. As my current renting lease is coming to an end, I am looking at new studios and the huge promotions of DTLA apts(south park area) really catch my eyes. The prices can end up at about SAME as my current place(at hacienda heights around my office), but with newer and better facilities.

I work a 10-7 on weekdays at Hacienda Heights. These days with the pandemic going on, there seems to have little traffic and one-way commute ends up to be 30min which sounds fine.

However I am wondering when everything goes back to normal later next year(hopefully), and all the wheels are back to the road, will my commute become crazy?

If you have had same route when days were normal, please share what your commute was like or any experience/advice is appreciated!

Morning(9-9:30 am): South park---->60 West---->Hacienda Heights
Night(6:30-7 pm):Hacienda Heights--->60 East--->South park

When the freeways are choked, take the blvds. I did this in 1970 to E.L.A.C. from Hac. Heights and did the same last year. Same traffic flow fifty years later!!! EVERYONE gets on the freeway and think they're getting there faster. Not nec. Look at your options. you should be fine with 10 - 7.

South Park is near the Convention Center.

I used to go there a few years ago. The area felt dark and dead at night.
There were suspicious persons; though, not as many as in Skid Row.

All clubs are closed, many restaurants are closed. Is it interesting to live there now?
