Being that so many things are shutdown and people working from home... thus less cars on the road.

Is there less smog & pollution in the sky? Are they clearer?

Yes, skies are clearer. Part of that is fewer cars and part of it is that we had an unusually cool and rainy spring. The skies are always much clearer after it rains.

Once it heats up, a certain amount of smog will back back because unfortunately that is just the way Los Angeles is and always has been. The valleys naturally trap haze during the hot weather. But it probably won't be as bad as it is when there are lots of cars on the road.

Yes and my "allergies" have never been better despite it being peak allergy season. Makes me realize most of my issues are probably due to breathing in all the smog.
