From where can I purchase socks in person? Costco? Sam's? The white van guy with extra stereo speakers?

The supermarkets and drugstore chains have not closed off their so called non essential aisles, as the Target's of the world had been bullied into doing. However their stocks are limited and prices are inflated

How's the quality? Are they the Kirkland brand?

Depends on what you want. The white athletic Kirkland brand and Hanes have been good quality. Puma have also been good and they’re the black socks. Weatherproof brand (also black) have been crap and had holes soon after I started wearing them.

They also have black dress socks called Gold Toe that have held up well.

If you go to Costco, try to go during a weekday mid-day. The lines are shorter. The long lines can be deceiving because they go fast. I’ve been in what looked like a long line and got inside in 5 min. Weekends are insane and I stay away for now. I got gas yesterday and people had already formed a line to get into the warehouse at 7:30am. That was San Diego so it may be different where you are.
