Those are interesting and no doubt onto something, but Dr. Drew (yeah, I know) did his own research on narcissism and concluded it's very common in successful entertainers. Many of them and many aspiring to be them move to Los Angeles. It's #3 on a quasi-scientific list of American cities. https://www.sfgate.com/beauty/articl...LA-6807356.php

Residents heeded warnings to self-isolate when stay-at-home orders were first implemented, said Dr. Olivia Kasirye, the county’s health officer. “Now, there’s probably a sense that we’re out of the woods, and many who have not seen relatives and friends for a long time have started venturing out.”

The county has reported more than 1,600 infections and 61 deaths. Kasirye said that about 50% of the infections were among individuals ages 18 to 49.

Health officials in L.A. County are detecting an uptick in disease transmission.

After the “effective transmission rate” of the virus fell from its original 3 to 3½ — meaning one infected person on average transmitted the virus to an average of three or 3½ other people — the rate dipped to its lowest point in mid-May to just under 1.

But the transmission rate has begun to climb again, causing further worry among health officials about the potential for a second wave. They had warned of a possible surge in cases after many stay-at home restrictions were eased in advance of the Memorial Day weekend.

I'll look more closely next time I'm shopping. Government officials need to tell the public that masks are supposed to cover the nose.

For what it's worth, here's an interesting comparison regarding Covid-19 cases and deaths.

Sweden, 10.2 million population, reported, as of today, 46,814 Covid-19 cases and 4,745 deaths
L.A. Co. 10.1 million population, reported, as of today, 67,064 Covid-19 cases and 2,768 deaths.

Sweden is relying on herd immunity to counter the spread of Covid-19, and has done minimal testing.
L.A.County is relying on Stay At Home, Social Distancing, wearing masks, and wide spread testing.

The comparison is fraught, to say the least. But even so, I wonder. Strategy A is minimizing disruption, while relying on good individual judgment and a smattering of restrictions. Strategy B is to say to hell with minimal disruption, instead rewriting the basic social construct. Isn't it ironic, that A and B are producing such similar results?

That study only surveyed 50 people, which is not enough for a good study. You should survey at least 100 people.

Dr. Ramani, who is an expert in narcissism and lives in Los Angeles, also would agree with Dr. Drew.
