That's past, not present. (And in counties with worse healthcare systems where people often were infected without knowing it, which usually leads to resting at home.) Current hospitalizations due to vs. with Covid are counted, I just haven't heard the breakdown yet and assume it's not close to 50%. No matter how much people want to believe the virus has turned into the common cold, it hasn't and there's almost no evidence that it ever will.

I'm not familiar with The Western Journal. But regarding the WHO, I'm inclined to believe the opposite of whatever they say.

Quoting numbers from Texas, links to news sources that say hospitalizations "may" be inflated or articles that "doctors disagree," and articles that claim that "Omicron has caused a problem in the way we measure deaths" are all suppositions.

Why? What sources do you find more credible, and based on what judging expertise?

From the Smithsonian Magazine:

How to Avoid Misinformation About COVID-19

“… When shown untrue or misleading articles about COVID-19, only 30 percent of people recognized the news to be false, according to research published in the Washington Post by New York University and Stanford researchers. ..

../The site “Media Bias/Fact Check” rates various news organizations on “factual reporting” as well as ideological skew. Major health organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) are among the most credible sources of information on the COVID-19 pandemic.…

The CDC has destroyed its reputation over the past year, and the WHO's reputation hasn't recovered from early blunders such as downplaying airborne spread.

Trust independent epidemiologists when their views seem to agree with one another. Be skeptical of much else. Assume that there have been too many deaths from the virus and don't get sucked into detours about statistics beyond numerical trends; the focus should be on protecting individual and widespread well-being.

I have no reason to believe the aforesaid published any false information. Do you?

The WHO initially stated that Covid-19 originated from a "wet market", then pivoted towards "wildlife farms" as a source.

From NPR:

https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsan...virus-pandemic

OTOH, I think the evidence has been overwhelming that Covid-19 originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
