CANCEL and rebook for a time when LA is not smothered with smog and heat.

You should create a plan for your trip.

There is really nothing to do on Hollywood Blvd for more than an hour.

The most obvious place to visit while in LA is Universal Studios. It's supposed to open in June, but will operate at 50% of its capacity.

The second obvious place is Disneyland and California Adventure in Anaheim. The parks are closed. During summers, they have been super packed. I can't imagine how they will operate now. 1-mile long lines to every attraction?

Big shows? Canceled until the end of the year!

on a positive note “my sources” tell me today there was a zoom meeting between the police and others. Suffice it to say, the mask-less and no social distancing picnics city-wide may be over.

I will believe when i see it. However i have a feeling it will not be heavily enforced. NYPD tried to enforce it and soon enough public backlashed happened that they stopped enforcing it completely. I have a feeling if LAPD and other law enforcement try to do the same, there will be public backlash.

Well as of right now nothing is open out here. LA is not LA with all the restaurants, bars, lounges, clubs, concerts, sports teams, museums, theaters, etc closed. You'd probably have more fun sitting in the house watching Netflix than going to a major city like NY, LA, or Chicago right now.

What about red tide in the LA beaches up to Malibu? We have a trip planned June- early July and planned to visit the beaches a lot? Is red tide still present?

The mayor has told the red tide to go away but come back next year

Anyone else looking to come here this summer I would suggest staying in Orange county. If you're coming for theme parks forget it

People in LA seem pretty downbeat

I think the lockdown is taking a toll

Maybe things revive by mid Summer to make a trip to Hollywood fun

We can keep you posted on the mood of the place if you like

why in gods name would you want to see hollywood anyway? drug addicts everywhere, scumbag beggars, trash, panhandlers, whores and low life's. so you want to take the bus to go past the movie stars homes? lol -

its a hell hole - if you are going to LA there is much more pleasant places to go and see. you might want to do a bit more research before traveling
