See Post No. 37 where it started getting political. But I agree this isn't a political thread and I am not going to say anything else on the matter.

I’ve crossed paths with several in the past and I didn’t recognize some at first. I don’t react. I have a couple friends who also work in music and meet many. They don’t think anything much at this point. They are just people, some talented, some not really, some just got lucky.

Mindless idiots listen to anything these celeb fools have to say. You don't need a 5 page list of works cited to confirm that.

The celebs are some of the biggest hypocrites in the nation and idiot people listen to them.

I love being preached to by some celeb worth 100MM dollars telling me how to vote, vote dem. As if these celebs know anything about normal middle class life and paying bills and sending kids to college and saving for retirement.
The bar you set for yourself was "recognized as gods". Pretty evasive answer.

It's not as if we didn't tell you not to vote for a reality TV personality, but nooooo... And I retract my previous post, we just may have the celebrity with the cult-like following identified.

In the spirit of moving on and keeping with the spirit of the thread, about 15 years ago my mother ran into Jamie Farr (Klinger from "Mash") at a Trader Joe's in the west San Fernando Valley.

They basically bumped into each other by accident..at which point my mother said, "Mr. Farr, it was one of the greatest shows ever and you were wonderful in it." She said he smiled and said, "Thank you."

Um, okay?

There are tons of fools out there that would literally throw themselves at the Kardashians' feet.

I wouldn't say it's an unwritten rule

but it's more like they are our neighbors and we know them differently than just what you see on TV

they're actual people lol

So we treat them as we would anyone else

I guess it can be interpreted by outsiders as some kind of rule

But they will get themselves on camera like when Amy Schumer did it.
