It's difficult to tell, but likely a lot of the tech and production will leave the city, and/or a lot of those high paid workers will leave since many/most work remotely now. Real estate prices and rents will probably take a huge dive.

English is a living evolving language. There may be no firebreak of wilderness between the center of the City of Los Angeles basin and many of the other 87 cities of L.A County but Santa Monica, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills are relatively affluent and their own political entities that are on the outskirts of the main urban city and are as much of a suburb as the unnamed community that the Brady Bunch lived in.

I have to disagree with your assessment as it applies to LA. In the past, maybe 20 to 25 years ago, I might have agreed with you, but with enormous development and ever increasing population density, the urban core has expanded exponentially to include West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica. And no one, certainly not in LA, would consider any of those cities to be on the outskirts of an LA urban core. They have become very much a part of the LA urban core.

In the future, practice social distancing from poison ivy.

Use the sap from normal ivy. A doctor told me to do that and it worked.
