Like what? What steps would head off an inevitable rebound? The pattern seems to be: shut down stems case rise and reopening creates a surge. Sequestering everyone at home didn't change the parameters because the virus doesn't just go away in the wild.

I share your concerns about the schools but I don't see a solution until something removes the culprit, the virus itself, from the equation.

Reopening only safe environments plus a crackdown on private gatherings stops resurgences. Is anyone disputing that? Again, who wants the government to do that or personally help out (by reporting or not gathering)? If you don't, we've already heard from enough of you.

I think you've already gotten all the positive responses you're going to get here. Maybe try another discussion board?

Not really on many. Anyway, the thread can stay up, to use my ideas and see my predictions come true. I look forward to attitudes gradually changing. As businesses are made safer, people will focus more on private gatherings as the weak link.

I have the clever idea that cities/districts requiring masks outdoors can add to the requirement masking when meeting non-household members at entrances to their homes. That opens the door, so to speak, for someone like Looker to automatically get in trouble when cops arrive, and it's easier to withstand legal challenges than some gathering limits.

I actually think creating a "snitch network", if you will, may work in the short term to solve your particular problem.

But you might not be happy having that level of government intervention in your life when the sword is swung your way. Something to think about.

This just gets more entertaining as it goes on. What’s next? Training police dogs to attack people without masks?

I. Just. Can't. Believe. This OP. Then again, I do refer to my former home state as the C.S.S.R. and now it is proven.

I prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery.
