I am going everything digital. I am planning to scan all my papers (both personal and work related) and then discard them. In Office Depot, they said they charge 25 cents per page. I have more than 300 papers to scan. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on this. Are there any other place in LA they do the bulk scanning cheaper than this?

Thanks.

buy a printer/scanner or just a scanner and do it yourself.

Too much work. And it's a great at-home job for many people. I'm looking for someone to do it also, on the west side.

Scanning at Office Depot will cost you $75 then. It's not "hundreds of dollars".

Sometimes, people throw away ink printers/scanners because they are out of ink.

If all your pages are the same format, there are bulk scanners.
We have a scanner at work that accepts 100 or more pages, then you press the Start button, that's it. I've never used it, though.

The individual scanning, and then editing/cropping, of each of thousands of photos is what takes too long.

No one is going to edit/crop your photos for cheap. That's time consuming and aside from that how would a stranger know how you wanted your photos cropped and edited. Just pay to get them scanned or buy a scanner, if you want to edit/crop one do it yourself sheesh

It's papers, not photos. So nothing to crop.

Few years ago, I had my own scanner. I purchased one for around $180. When I do the bulk scanning, sometimes papers get stuck and it takes forever for me fix it. That's why I didn't go for my own scanner. The good ones that they have in Office Depot are like around $1000. Less chance of getting stuck and even if stuck, they know how to fix it quick.

I said I have more than 300 pages. So it is not just "$75".

And I have over 1000 photos from 2x2 to 8x10 inches that each need to be cropped and made to the same size.

I don't think you understand the concept of digitizing photos, you scan them at as high a resolution as you might need to make a good quality print from, you don't 'make them all the same size' Then when you print the photo - or have someone print it you tell them the size print you want.
