New Soros funded DA in LA wants to get rid of special circumstances on horrific crimes. He had assistant DAs drop special circumstances against a suspect who decapitated 2 children. He wanted special circumstances dropped against a 3 time dui offender who killed someone during his last-the DAs went ahead and still asked for them.

The new DA has placed monitors or snitches in courtrooms to make sure his directives are being followed. If not they are sent to a downtown office for discipline.

It is insanity. He oversaw San Francisco’s destruction becoming the city with the highest property crime in the nation. The slimmest of chances of LA turning around are officially over. The criminal homeless will be coddled and encouraged to complete their infestation into every corner of the city. Transforming those few remaining cleaner, peaceful enjoyable communities into the hell holes of assault, thievery, feces, needles, filthy tents and mountains of trash that the rest of the city has become.

Trespassing is no longer illegal, resisting arrest is no longer illegal, stealing under $900 a day (or is it per incident?), well that might get you a ticket, but it will be dismissed. Who are you gonna call, and for what exactly? The police?! Hah! Did you actually expect your rights to live in a clean and safe city to ever be protected or considered? Not a chance. It’s done.

What a shame, its been about 10 years since I visited LA but I loved it. Was actually about to be LAPD before I got injured and ended up going to Texas instead.... guess it all worked out. Prayers to those front line LAPD guys/gals, it’s gonna be a rough ride with no end in site.

Not given great reviews by ex constituents and political colleagues. Increase in property crimes a common complaint including car break ins. Not only are these crimes a stepping stone to others when someone is using physical force in car break-ins for example that shows the perps are not afraid and are capable of using physical force..

Exactly! Why arrest anyone when almost all former crimes are heretofore be considered non-chargeable offenses. You’d be wasting your time and investigative skills knowing each and every perpetrator arrested is quickly given a pat on the back and probably a $1000 for their inconvenience.

What it comes down to is that voters in LA County, and particularly in LA City, are really ignorant and probably stupid as well.
Well judging from the LAUSD test scores in most areas, this has more than a grain of truth.

Don'r forget about Mayor Garcetti's "Welcome Home" gift baskets. Just in time for the Holidays, too!

Since Gascon will not be prosecuting a whole bunch of crimes, the LAPD can be re-tasked with handing out the gift baskets. Oh, I'm good -- I should work at City Hall...

Not sure what people expected. Yes, he's an objectively bad human being - a veritable soulless monster, who belongs in a cage. But, you knew that... and you elected him anyway.

I didn't. And I wonder how much electronic voting machine tampering occurred to skew the vote in Gascon's favor.
