If you took the time to read the post I was responding to you would see that it was not directed specifically at LA

I did read the post you were responding to. The train robberies happened in LA and it's up to the LA County DA to deal with them. It's hypocritical to tell that poster to mind his own because he doesn't live in California, when you yourself do not live in the municipality in which the crime occurred. You're not really any closer to them problem than he is.

Actually, ‘sleepy’ IS closer … in several respects: s/he lives in the same state, within a day’s drive (as compared with an entirely different state 3,000 miles away); s/he clearly knows about crime and law enforcement; s/he clearly knows “gibberish” from rational analysis.

Actually I'm a lot closer than he is and I did live in LA County for 3 years. But since you know so much more about this than I do, could you tell me where the UP police were? This didn't just start happening and catch them by surprise, apparently it's been a thing for awhile now...

Quote:
Union Pacific has reported an alarming 160% increase since December 2020 in thefts along railroad tracks in L.A. County... The railroad didn’t release specific data on what was stolen or the value of what was lost but it said the increase in crime cost the company at least $5 million last year...But Union Pacific is partly to blame for not deploying more security, said Los Angeles Police Capt. German Hurtado, who works in the Hollenbeck Division. “We have millions of dollars of items and equipment, but it is unpoliced,” Hurtado said. “There are even sometimes weapons on these trains. Everything goes by train, you learn.”https://www.latimes.com/california/s...ttering-tracks
But UP doesn't say a word or do squat to stop it until a photo journalist filmed the whole mess and when that became public UP is suddenly doing a lot of pearl clutching and blaming the DA and the jail. If it weren't so sad it would be funny

So it's ok with you for the DA to allow criminals to do whateaver they want.

"Soros-backed Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón is under fire for charging a 26-year-old transgender (bio male) as a juvenile after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl."

In 2014, 17-year-old James Tubbs grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the throat at a Denny’s in Palmdale, California and sexually assaulted her in a bathroom stall"

He's getting recalled.

When wealthy blue Beverly Hills turns on him you know it's over

We signed the recall today. It was getting lots of traffic. Some people driving by were honking and giving the thumbs-up. Supposedly of the 80-some percent of the assistant DA's who voted, 90-some percent voted for recall.

Gascon reversed his decision on this crime.
