I was curious enough to dig into it, and it's Allen High School in Allen, Texas. The high school has an enrollment of 5,391 and that's not including teachers and staff. That's bigger than a lot of colleges! So yeah, I guess they can support a food court.

Maybe, but I went to a ghetto school. We had a basic lunchroom with an assembly line. You slide your tray and get what u need. Boring. You can buy snacks like chips, soda pop, corn nuts, chocolate other candy at a separate place near the main square quad. But I imagine a nice school had A SBarro, an orange Julius, a Cinnabon, an in n out in their schools. Lucky Texas and rich socal schools

lolol!

I didn't even realize where this was posed, I had assumed it was in the education subforum, because while it has nothing to do with LA, it certainly was an interesting fact to learn about!

I follow high school football a little bit they got one of the best high school football teams in Texas they played a couple of schools from out of state like Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana and Florida I was wondering which school from Cali would play against them.

These fast-food with major names are NOT necessary healthier than regular school cafeterias. More calories, larger portion size, more fat, lead to more waste.

I am thinking CA banned fast food restaurants from high schools some time ago. There used to be Taco Bell and Pizza Hut outlets on campuses 20+ years ago, but I think they are all gone now.

El Segundo isn't super rich, but it's up there (maybe, idk, I went there on permit). The cafeteria was basically only classroom sized, like only 50 people max could eat in there (and no one ever packed it, so many empty tables, 90% of the school just ate literally anywhere else in the school). No assembly line, 4 different registers with pretty much premade meals (asked if if you wanted awful apple juice or milk). On the otherside of the registers was the snack bar, but you had to go all the way outside to buy from it with basic snacks that I know they probably made a killing off of.

Idk, can someone compare El Segundo to like any of the Torrance Highs? I only know El Segundo and that's it.
