At least we know that almost everyone who gets the vaccine has solid short-term protection against COVID-19. People who claim natural immunity seem unwilling to demonstrate that immunity with testing, which at the very least would be needed for a temporary vaccination waiver. Furthermore, the government doesn't need that burden of added processing; they should get vaccinated instead, it won't harm them.
So someone who is employed with a police department who refuses to be vaccinated is an extremist? That’s absurd. You have no idea how effective natural immunity is compared to the vaccine. You just do not know that. We do know that there is natural immunity. How many breakthrough cases have their been of those who have been previously infected with covid? How many of them have been hospitalized and died?

I had a covid breakthrough case and two doctors told me that immunity from having covid lasts between 3 and 8 months, that's consistent with what I've read about it. Police officers who refuse to get vaccinated should just politely resign and go get another job, maybe in Alabama or Texas, they will be welcomed there, probably even celebrated as heroes

So let's assume that poll is true, would you want to force something against 40% of the population? That's extremely dangerous. I think that's exactly what they want, to distract people from the wealth transfer going on.

Oh so it's unconstitutional? Maybe you should read Jacobson vs. Massachusetts

Good point. Same with when California mandated the smallpox vaccination for children in public schools over a century ago.

I'll take the risk, I'm tired of all these rebels without a cause trying to turn this into a fight. 40% of the population will not be rioting in the streets over this, that's just silly

Bribes didn't work to get the general population vaccinated, and I don't know what specifically could have been used to do that with LAPD and of course so-called incentives would have had to been offered to other municipal employees.

Education, sure, except that wasn't particularly effective. Hence, mandates.

I don't think you really understand what that would mean. You're basically saying you're fine with massive unrest -- far worse than anything we saw in 2020.
